Our well trained Disease Control Professionals protect the health and safety of the population through Disease Surveillance and Response Systems, preparedness for emerging and re-emerging health threats, events or outbreaks, health promotion, prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, including public health workforce development and training.

It encompasses the use of health technologies to reduce incidence and prevalence of communicable and non-communicable diseases, interruption of disease transmission through designing and implementation of Public Health Interventional programmes to protect human and environment in accordance with standard public health concept in Ghana.

Our goal is to control, eliminate, eradicate and manage emergence and re-emergence of health threats, events or communicable and non-communicable diseases, including disease or events under the International Health Regulation 2005. Categories;
